Celebrating National Identity in Abu Dhabi

Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan praised the achievements of national identity clubs during the 'Our Heritage in Words' competition ceremony held at Mohammed bin Zayed University. Awards were given to school and university students for their creative writing.

Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, Chairman of the Foundation for Heritage, emphasized the importance of celebrating the achievements of national clubs in schools, colleges, and universities, as well as the winners and winning entries in the creative writing competition "Our Heritage in Words," organized by these clubs to reinforce national identity and contribute to its transformation into an important field for creativity, innovation, and initiatives, which is a direct reflection of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan's call, President of the UAE, who stressed: "We want the world to see our pride in our national identity, and for enduring values in our society to become our constant emblem." This was stated during the opening by Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan of the award ceremony for the winners of the first version of the competition "Our Heritage in Words," organized by the Foundation for Heritage at the Mohammed bin Zayed University for Humanities in Abu Dhabi. The event was attended by the Minister of State for Early Education, the Chairman of the Federal Agency for Early Education, the Chairman of the Education Administration, and notable figures from major and international universities, governmental and private schools, as well as members of the Foundation's board of directors. Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak awarded student winners from universities in the categories of poetry and short stories and winners from high schools in the area of short stories, presenting gold, silver, and bronze medals to the winners. "We need to support the development of clubs of national identity in schools, colleges, and universities, collaborating with the Foundation for Heritage, and seriously contributing to their successful work," Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak expressed, showing pride regarding the effectiveness and initiative of the students from these educational institutions. Among the winners of the literary creative competition among school students, the first place was taken by Janna Ash from the private Abu Dhabi International School, the second place was Sheikh Shamsi from the Public Schools of Takhnoon bin Mohammed - Applied Technology School, and the third place was Nuf al-Blaushi from the Public Schools of Takhnoon bin Mohammed. Meanwhile, among the students from universities, first place in the category of short stories was occupied by Maha Abdulrahman from the Zayed University, the second place by Sheikh Al Naimi from Technical Colleges in Al Ain, and the third place by Jamili al-Darai from Mohammed bin Zayed University. First place in the category of poetry was secured by Endi Fat Jing from Mohammed bin Zayed University, the second place by Muna al-Bashir Ahmed from Mohammed bin Zayed University, and the third place by Aisha al-Riyami from Technical Colleges in Al Ain.
